Table Mountain National Park( Cape of Good Hope) and to us locals Cape Point, my HAPPY PLACE. With breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, wide open spaces and long, isolated, pristine beaches, one can’t get enough of this national treasure.
We were on a mission to finally capture an image of the Baird’s Sandpiper and then try to get the double and see our first Elephant Seal. Well, we got up close to the Bairds, but as luck would have it, the bird flushed before we could press the shutter, and the moment was lost for now. A young man named Rhys G William found the Bairds and captured some images. My luck will come next time. As for the Elephant Seal, this was a much simpler target; how could we fail twice in a row?
